Silver Card Case Birmingham 1903



A sterling silver playing card case in the form of a chest. It features the most superb chased foliate design work on all sides of flowers and scrolls. The curved hinge lid has a clear cartouche and a gold gilt interior. The case has space for 2 sets of playing cards which are also included here. The inner lip shows clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1903 along with makers stamp.

Silver Spirit Kettle & Burner ( Mappin & Webb ) 1901





This is a stunning sterling silver spirit kettle & burner made by Mappin & Webb in the manner of Christopher Dresser. It is a beautiful  design with ebony handle and finial. The clear hallmarks are for Sheffield 1901. The kettle detaches from the stand which has four rounded feet.

Antique Silver Cafe Au Lait Set – London 1931


A beautiful pair of antique sterling silver Cafe au Lait pots London 1931. The pear shape pots are in superb condition and look simply stunning side by side. The hinge lids have a dragooned pattern around the edge and finial tops. The pots each have different pouring spouts one for milk and one for coffee. Each pot is clearly hallmarked.

Antique Sterling Silver Purse ( 1918 )


This sterling silver purse which has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1918 is decorated with engraved scrolls, flowers, bows and garlands. It has the initials J W on the front cratouch. The button release opens the purse to reveal a tan leather interior with three compartments. The leather is undamaged in in excellent condition. The catch is in good working order and the two sides of the purse snap shut tight. There are two chains which are fastened to a finger ring at the top. Overall this is a quirky and collectible item in great condition. It is almost 100 years old!

A superb cup and saucer from by Hutschenreuther Hohenberg Germany. Both the cup and saucer display segments of blue which have been overlaid with silver . Very pretty and collectable.

Sterling Silver Inkwell – Birmingham 1908


This antique silver inkwell comes with a lovely cut glass bottle and silver lid. The boat shape tray has a dragooned edge with floral highlights and fantastic pierce work sides. It stands on four ball feet. The cut glass pot has ten sides and slots nicely into the holder for stability. The hinged lid isn’t too loose and is hallmarked to the neck. The tray is hallmarked also.

Goldsmiths & silversmiths Claret jug


Antique silver top claret jug by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths. It has hobnail cut glass body which is in perfect condition. The silver has a hinged lid with a squared spout and handle which extends onto the glass body. The silver is hallmarked for makers and assay. A fantastic piece!

Antique Victorian Silver Bowl 1897

Antique Victorian  silver bowl which is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1897. It displays a lovely chased design of flowers and scrolls and sits on a pedestal base. The hallmarks are clear for assay and date although I cant make out the makers of this fine piece of silver.

Silver Cream Jug 1936

This impressive antique silver cream jug which dates back to Chester 1936 has a plain body with decorated band to the rim. The handle has an ornate design which  is balanced nicely by the elegant spout. It stands on a circular base and has some engraved text underneath.
The jug is clearly hallmarked for Chester 1936 along with makers stamp.

Edwardian Sterling Silver Chamber Candlestick



An Edwardian chamber candlestick  with snuffer which is hallmarked  inside for Birmingham 1906. The  silver is a good gauge and crisp with no dents. The main chamber stick protrudes from the main circular dish and design of this item is very simple and smooth. The detachable snuffer slots into the handle nicely and is a cone shape which is also hallmarked .
